Hamas Locate Missiles in Civilian Infrastructure

 The IDF struck a Hamas weapons production site in the central Gaza Strip and a Hamas military site in northern Gaza after Terrorists in Gaza fired 6 rockets indiscriminately towards southern Israel earlier this morning. 5 intercepted by Iron Dome, one landed in open area.

Reports from Gaza: 1 st time for months: Hamas and PIJ were coordinated. Didn't launch 107 mm rockets recently used but much more heavy explosive heads.

 IDF reports: In response to the rockets fired from Gaza, IAF fighter jets struck both a weapons manufacturing site and military compound belonging to the Hamas Terrorist Organization, located in central and northern Gaza.

 The compound is located adjacent to a mosque, medical clinic, hotel, police station and school.

This serves as further evidence as to how the Hamas Terrorist Organization exploits the civilian population of Gaza by deliberately placing its weaponry in the center of civilian areas.

Minister forbidden from publishing explanation of judicial reform

 So now the legal "advisers" are not allowing even the information department to put out a fact sheet of information on the subject of judicial reform - how absurd.

Reminds me of a contact in the UK who accused Israel of stealing Palestinian water. When i sent him all the facts from the Water Commissioners office, he replied that he was unable to continue the discussion with me as all  i was doing was "quoting facts"!!

"In advance of the extensive campaign, I planned to explain the reform and for the sake of unity, I just received the answer of the legal counsel: I am forbidden from publishing any factual information about the reform. First Netanyahu and now it's my turn. Because the veil of lies that divides the people must not be cracked. Only the elite will control the public discourse. There is no room for truth," the minister wrote on Twitter.

Heaven forbid we should dare to talk about facts!

The Muslim Invasion of Europe.

 In the last few decades, the countries of Europe have allowed into their midst tens of millions of Muslims. There are now 44 million Muslims in the Continent, some 6% of the population. Given that Muslims have much higher fertility rates than the indigenous Europeans, and that Muslim economic migrants continue to flow into Europe, the Muslim percentage of Europe’s population will inexorably increase. By 2050, Muslims may be 20% of Europe’s population. And by 2050, several studies suggest, there will be very few Jews left in Europe.

The Dutch writer and journalist Leon de Winter now predicts that “In 2048 the last Jews will leave Europe. “It’s over,” said the late Hebrew U. antisemitism expert Robert Wistrich. “It’s a slow death.” It is actually speeding up.

”In the last 50 years the Jewish population in Europe has decreased by 60 percent and a similar decline is expected in the next 30 years, explained Eldad Beck in a dramatic article in Israel’s largest newspaper, Israel Hayom.

“It’s over,” Wistrich said. “It’s a slow death.”In France there are cities, such as Grenoble, Nice, Lyon, and Toulouse where the number of Jews as fallen dramatically.

 “I don’t want to live in a country whose chancellor brings in millions of antisemitic Muslims who attack Jews and Jewish institutions in Germany,” wrote the chairman of the Jewish community in the German state of Brandenburg, Semyon Gorelick. “You can’t live in a country where you can’t wear a kippah on the street.” Most Jews in Germany today are Ukrainian, Russian or Israelis looking for work.

Angela Merkel made a fateful decision to allow one million Muslims into Germany in 2015, without considering the consequences, She knew nothing about Islam, about the hatred inculcated toward Unbelievers. She was in thrall to the notion that “diversity” was a Good Thing.

“Norway risks becoming a country without a Jewish population,” says an editorial in Aftenposten. According to the newspaper, 20 percent of the two largest communities (Oslo and Trondheim) have left. “Norway could be the first country in Europe to become jüdenfrei,” wrote journalist Julie Bindel. The synagogues of Oslo and Trondheim are the most protected buildings in all of Norway. Having to live their lives in constant fear of attack certainly explains why 20% of Jews in Oslo and Trondheim have already left the country in recent years.

Denmark’s Jewish community has lost 25 percent of members in the past 15 years. ”Natan Sharansky, the former Soviet refusenik, said: “We are witnessing the beginning of the end of Jewish history in Europe. The reason for this is the fear and despair that many Jews now feel because of the inexorably increasing population of Muslims, who bring with them to Europe, undeclared in their mental baggage, a virulent form of antisemitism.

The demographic data is clear. There are now 44 million Muslims in Europe. Through both continued immigration and very high fertility rates, by 2050 there will be far more than 100 million Muslims. Meanwhile, everywhere in Europe the indigenous population’s fertility rates are below replacement level, which means there are fewer non-Muslims in Europe every year. The tens of millions of Muslims now in Europe have had the following effect: They have been responsible for draining the national welfare systems of money needed to attend to the needs of the indigenous poor.

They — the Muslim migrants — have been responsible for soaring crime rates throughout Europe. Not content with what they receive from the state, many young Muslims males choose to “round out the month” by committing crimes of property — shoplifting, smash-and-grab, street robberies, house burglaries, car thefts. Young Muslim men have taken to drug trafficking and in some countries have taken over the drug trade over from the traditional gangs. In the U.K., Muslims are 4% of the population but 20% of the prison population. In France Muslims are 8% of the population, but 70% of the prison population. In Germany, Muslims are 7% of the population, but 23% of the prison population.

And the final effect of the Muslim invasion of Europe — for isn’t it an invasion? — has been the fear it has engendered in the Jews of Europe, leading to the steady exodus we now see. What will Europeans do without the fructifying cultural presence of Jews, without their contributions to literature, art, and music, to philosophy, history, and political science, to medicine and the law? For their absence will be filled by the presence of Muslims, whose cultural contributions are so small as to be scarcely discernible. By mid-century, they will be striding across the continent of Europe as if they owned it; even now some are crowing about that not-too-distant future when “Europe will be ours.”

Supreme Court's "Disruptive" Decision

 More than twenty years ago, a brave, pioneering farmer had painstakingly removed every rock from a field. Tractors, and more likely, the hardworking hands of young people, had gone through the fields, removing rock after rock, preparing the ground to plant a vineyard. 

The farmer planted and tended the fields carefully, laboring for the first three years without any profit. Finally, after years of hard work and investment, he had a beautiful vineyard. 

Now, all one sees are piles of broken vines. One couldn’t help remembering when  walking through the rows of this vineyard more than a year and a half ago, filming a video in a desperate attempt to change the minds of the court in Israel that had called for its destruction.

 

Believe it or not, the courts decided that the vineyard came under what is known as a disruptive use order. This means that if an Arab lays claim to a piece of land, the courts can call for its owners to be evicted, and the land destroyed, even if the Arab does not show proof of ownership.

That is exactly what happened in this case. No one had brought proof of ownership. The land is not owned by Arabs. It was barely even disputed. After being bulldozed, no one will move onto it, no buildings will be built, and no farms will be planted here. It was simply the wish of Israel’s court system that it be destroyed, and in a way, the wish of the international community. 

Because now, the world should be happy with Israel. They demanded that Israel not build and farm in Judea and Samaria in exchange for peace. Now that a vineyard has been bulldozed, they should be happy, right?  No! The world will continue shouting that Israel must give up land for peace. The settlements in the “West Bank” are the problem, they’ll say, and those “pesky settlers” are just standing in the way of a Palestinian state.

Biden Restores Funding To PLO, Israeli Deaths Rise

When U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with PLO leader Mahmoud Abbas last month, he boasted of the over one billion dollars in aid that the Biden administration had programmed for the terrorist territories.

That aid has come with a very heavy price.

In Feb. 2019, President Trump’s total cutoff of aid to the Palestinians became official. That year, 10 Israelis or people in Israeli controlled areas were killed in stabbings, shootings, rocket and other attacks, down from 12 the previous year, 15 in 2017 and 16 in 2016.

In 2020, however, only three Israelis were killed.

These numbers reflected the diminished capacity of the Islamic terrorists. The reduction in numbers was not due to the pandemic. The year still saw attacks, including firebombings, rocket launches and stabbings, but the success and lethality rates for these attacks were lower.

The numbers turned around dramatically once again in 2021.

In April 2021, the Biden administration restored aid to the PLO. Terror incidents, reflecting attack attempts, shot up sharply, from 91 in February and 89 in March to 130 in April.

By May, major fighting had resumed, with 13 Israelis, including two children, killed.

By the time the year was over, 17 people in Israeli areas had been killed. The over 400% increase in deaths was only the beginning. In 2022, 31 Israelis or people in Israeli areas were killed, up from only three in 2020, for a massive 900% increase in casualties since the restoration of foreign aid to the terrorists. This was the worst death toll since 2015 under Obama.

But in January and the first half of February, 10 Israelis have already been killed, including a 6-year-old boy and his 8-year-old brother.

Three times as many have been killed in the past month and as in all of 2020. That’s a 233% increase over 2020 in just a fraction of a year, but it’s also a marked month-to-month escalation from 2022, which featured no attacks at all in January or February. More people have already been killed by terrorists in 2023 than through most of March 2022.

What a difference a billion dollars makes.

Israel refills Lake Kinneret, supplying Jordan on the way

When the floodgates are open, a torrent of water gushes into a dry river bed and races to the shore of Lake Kinneret, a biblical lake in northern Israel that was being lost to drought and the growing population around it.

The water is fresh, high-quality, and expensive. Desalinated from the Mediterranean Sea and transported across the country where it awaits the order to replenish the lake should it start to shrink again.

This new network will also let Israel double the amount of water it sells to neighboring Jordan under a broader water-for-energy deal forged through a working, though often fractious, relationship.

After a heat wave or strong rain, the level of the lake makes national news. Alarms went off regularly this past decade following protracted droughts and receding shorelines.

So Israel built a chain of desalination plants along its Mediterranean coast putting it in the unlikely position of having a surplus of water, a bright spot in an arid region extremely vulnerable to climate change.

"All the extra water that (the plants) are producing, we will be able to bring it with the national water carrier system up north and into the Lake Kinneret," said Yoav Barkay, who manages the national carrier at state-owned Mekorot.

"With this environment of climate changes, you don't know what to expect next year and the year afterward," he said. "We are no longer depending on rain basically for water supply."

Water and peace

The refill system may be used more frequently with water exports to Jordan on the rise, he said. It can raise the lake's level by half a meter each year, according to Mekorot.

Water was a major component in the peace treaty the neighbors signed in 1994. The arrangement was for Israel to supply Jordan with 50 million cubic meters of drinkable water a year. That was doubled in late 2021.

Both countries are active participants in the pact, even as they accuse each other of exacerbating the broader problem of water shortages through the management of their shared and connected rivers.

Jordanian and Israeli officials have traded blame over river levels, reservoirs and the progress of a separate scheme to desalinate water from the southern Red Sea - all potentially highly charged issues in a tense region where water is scarce.

But there has been progress.

Around a year ago Israel and Jordan agreed to partner in a project that would see Jordan build 600 megawatts of solar generating capacity to be exported to Israel in return for the additional water supply.

Jordan’s minister of water and irrigation at the time said that climate change and an influx of refugees exacerbated Jordan’s water challenges, but that there are opportunities for regional cooperation to solve them.

Construction is now underway on a pipeline to again double the amount that will reach Jordan which means that some 200 million cubic meters of water - the same amount consumed by the five biggest cities in Israel combined - will be supplied to Jordan.

The national water carrier is empty at the moment, undergoing seasonal repairs and upgrades. At one junction in northern Israel, engineers work on a pipe more than large enough for them to stand inside. They are adding a new line that jets off to the city Beit Shean and from there east to the Jordan border. Mekorot hopes to complete it in 2026.

Hezbollah's latest tactic - blinding Israeli drivers, pedestrians nightly with lasers

 Hezbollah activists have been harassing residents of the northern town of Metullah from across the border for the last several weeks by using powerful lasers, Channel 11 reported Monday evening.

Standing on a hill in Lebanon that is perhaps 180 meters from the town, they shine a blinding green light into Jewish homes, at pedestrians, and perhaps most hazardously, into the eyes of Israeli drivers.

This kind of laser can cause irreparable damage to people’s eyes, including permanent blindness, the report said.

The IDF has not yet found a solution to the problem.

In an effort keep the long-distance stalkers away from their gathering spot, a large floodlight was placed for several days at the most directly affected area, the town’s popular promenade, to shine a revealing beam at them. This has not discouraged Hezbollah, and it was taken away a few days ago.

The Northern Command has turned to the UNIFIL forces that have been stationed on the border since 1978 and whose formal mandate includes assisting the Lebanese government to return its effective authority in the border area rather than leaving Hezbollah, an Iranian proxy, in charge.

This was one of the conditions Israel set down for ending the 2006 Second Lebanon War against Hezbollah forces that controlled the southern region of the country, but it has yet to be fulfilled. In the event, it would most likely make no difference, as Hezbollah is part of the government in Beirut and has infiltrated many of its own men into the Lebanese armed forces.

The UN has promised to intervene, but nothing has been done to date.

An army spokesperson apparently tried to put a positive spin on the military’s efforts, saying, “The IDF is in close contact with the residents of the sector and works in cooperation with them continuously to strengthen the sense of security in the area in the best possible way.”

Hezbollah is also trying to stymie other IDF moves in the area. While the terror group has seemingly given up on digging attack tunnels through to Israel, in parallel to the army’s current construction of 15-meter-high walls to prevent overland infiltration, Hezbollah is putting up simple but even taller towers on its side of the border so that the terrorists can continue to observe Israeli activity.
